About The Video:

This is part 5 of my mini-series exploring how I search for new traders to copy - what do I look for in their profiles and stats pages to try to find the right ones?

In part 1, I went over the Popular Investor System, and talked about the "Minimum copy amount" recommendation. Do we really need to copy them with THAT MUCH money?

https://youtu.be/_TkvRBl4-7k

In part 2, I discussed the "Copy Open Trades" suggestion to check whether they were telling us the truth or just trying to get more fees...

https://youtu.be/nzdRdcW13ZQ

In part 3, we had a look at the "Minimum Copy Period 1 Year" suggestion (it can vary wildly) - are there good reasons why they're suggesting we copy them for longer periods?

https://youtu.be/-drsvFO2m00

In Part 4 of the series, I had a look at the feed page on each popular investor's profile. What info do I look for on their feed? Is it useful at all?

In this Video, we're moving onto the statistics page - where the real heart of the trader's profit and risk information can be found. All popular Investors on eToro have a stats page with their profits and risk scores clearly shown.

After a quick recap of what I covered in the previous videos, I give an overview of the statistic page with it's profit chart at the top showing monthly, yearly and historical profits together with the compounded yearly totals.

I go over how I use these charts not just to see how much profit a trader has made each year, but also to check whether there's consistency and skill rather than just luck on the part of the investor.

It's possible to have 7 good months of trading data and still just be lucky... In the beginning , I used to copy traders with very little historical data, but after several major disappointments and surprises, I now stick to traders with longer visible trading histories...

I also show how we can sometimes see evidence of an investor's development over time form these charts - I try to glean as much information as possible from the numbers.

Moving on, I talk about what 'compounding' is in investing, and how compound profits are a powerful force for investors over time.

Finally I show some of the data which is actually missing from this particular profit chart, and show how 'drawdowns' need to be viewed in the 'Risk' section of the stats page and can be seen on the 'chart' page - a very useful page.

In isolation, the charts and graphs are useful, but when used together, they become vastly more useful and provide us with extremely useful insights. (Hopefully!)
