What can I do for migraine headaches after delivering a baby?
You mentioned that you've been having migraines or severe headaches after delivering your baby and you had issues with preeclampsia. It sounds like headaches can be a sign of preeclampsia during pregnancy, and high blood pressure. The risks and complications associated with preeclampsia can exist for up to three months after delivery. There are also the other things surrounding the circumstance of labor and delivery that can contribute to severe headaches after delivery. So it would be best to bring these headaches to the attention of your OB provider. They can ask you more specific questions about it and based on their knowledge of your situation, decide if further investigation or treatment is warranted. Good luck with everything and if you have any other questions for me in the future, feel free to ask them on our Facebook page at facebook.com/intermountainmoms and recommend us to your friends and family, too.
