Joey Dee tells Tom the rich history of the Peppermint Twist

Joey Dee and The Starliters recorded Peppermint Twist in 1961. His band included actor Joe Pesci, and Jimi Hendrix on different occasions. Joey starred in two feature films. His backup singers at one time were The Ronettes before they became recording artists and singing stars. Three of The Young Rascals were Starliters before they formed their own group. And David Brigati, brother of one of The Young Rascals, was a Starliter from the start. Joey takes a few minutes to explain all of this history to Tom.
