El Mito de la Pérgola (Castellano)

LA MÚSICA EN LOS ESPACIOS PÚBLICOS; El mito de la Pérgola es la 6ta placa de Pascuala Ilabaca, el disco está inspirado en los ritmos que han nacido en contextos callejeros o populares (pérgolas, plazoletas, carpas, mercados, etc.) en donde el colectivo y los espacios públicos han cumplido un rol fundamental en la creación y desarrollo de estos géneros musicales; la milonga (Argentina/Uruguay), el son jarocho y mariachi (México) , la fanfarria (iberoamérica en general), la rumba (Cuba) , el carnaval andino (Chile/Bolivia/Perú) , la ceremonia de la ̈Puja ̈ (India), los tuaregs (Sahara), el Organillo y el Chinchin (Chile). Luego de que Pascuala Ilabaca se hiciera activa miembro del Movimiento Ciudadano en Valparaíso, le nace la necesidad de devolver su música a la calle (en sus inicios ella tocaba en un mercadillo de antiguedades) investigando estos ritmos y creando su nueva placa junto a la banda Fauna junto a quienes planifica su PRIMERA GIRA NACIONAL que pretende cruzar los 2.700 kilómetros del territorio continental Chileno.
Pascuala Ilabaca & Fauna crean EL MITO de la Pérgola invitando a las comunidades a creer en que EL ARTE Y LA GENTE PUEDEN LLEGAR/ VOLVER A SER EL CENTRO DE LA PLAZA, EL CENTRO DEL MUNDO.
La música fué compuesta por Pascuala Ilabaca (Yma es cocreación junto a Jaime Frez, baterista de la banda), arreglada e interpretada por Pascuala Ilabaca & Fauna, registrada por Jorge Abarca (Estudios del Sur, Chile), mezclada por Juan Pablo Quezada (Santuario Sónico, Chile) y masterizada por Andrés Mayo (Buenos Aires, Argentina). Cuenta con el aporte de destacados músicos invitados como: Nano Stern, Freddy Torrealba, Fabiola Harper, Newen Afrobeat (Brass), Fábrica de Melodías y Organillos, entre otros.

THE MUSIC IN THE PUBLIC SPACES; The myth of the Pergola is the 6th album of Pascuala Ilabaca, the album is inspired by the rhythms that have been born in the street or popular contexts (pergolas, squares, tents, markets, etc.) where the collective and public spaces have complied a fundamental role in the creation and development of these musical genres; the milonga (Argentina / Uruguay), the son jarocho and mariachi (Mexico), the fanfare (Ibero-America in general), the rumba (Cuba), the Andean carnival (Chile / Bolivia / Peru), the ̈Puja ̈ ceremony (India), the Tuaregs (Sahara), the barrel organ and the Chinchin (Chile). After Pascuala Ilabaca became an active member of the Citizen Movement in Valparaíso (Movimiento Ciudadano), she start to feel the need to return her music to the street (in the beginning she played in a market of antiques) investigating these rhythms and creating her new album with the band Fauna with those who plan their FIRST NATIONAL TOUR that aims to cross the 2,700 kilometers of the Chilean mainland.
Pascuala Ilabaca & Fauna create THE MYTH of the Pergola inviting communities to believe that ART AND PEOPLE CAN COME / BE AGAIN THE CENTER OF THE STREET SQUARE, THE CENTER OF THE WORLD.
The music was composed by Pascuala Ilabaca (Yma is co-creation with Jaime Frez, drummer of the band), arranged and performed by Pascuala Ilabaca & Fauna, recorded by Jorge Abarca (Estudios del Sur, Chile), mixed by Juan Pablo Quezada (Sanctuary) Sónico, Chile) and mastered by Andrés Mayo (Buenos Aires, Argentina). It has the contribution of prominent guest musicians such as: Nano Stern, Freddy Torrealba, Fabiola Harper, Newen Afrobeat (Brass), Melodies and Organs Factory, among others.
