Yucca Soap and Cooking Chaparral Tea in the Desert

Primitive man depended entirely on all that nature provided. Exploring and learning about all the amazing yet simple ways to use plants and other materials found in the natural environment seems to me to be an unending ethnobotanical adventure. In this video I show a simple way to make soap from the leaves of the Mojave yucca plant and prepare a hot chaparral tea on a wind-protected fire in a sand embankment in the Colorado desert.
