UK COVID scare: Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan assures, 'Govt is alert; no need to panic'

Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has spoken on the new strain of Coronavirus that has been discovered in the United Kingdom. He has said that the government is alert and that there is no need to panic. Many European countries have already banned flights that are heading out from the UK to their countries, but is India heading there?

The Union Health Ministry had called for an urgent meeting of its joint moderating group today to discuss the emergence of a mutated variant of the COVID-19 virus. The Joint Monitoring group chaired by Director General of Health Services held a meeting to discuss the issue of the muted coronavirus being reported in the UK.
