COVID-19: Several countries ban flights from UK over new strain

India and Hong Kong are among the first places in Asia to suspend all flights from Britain. Fears are rising over a new strain of COVID-19 in the UK that is up to 70 per cent more infectious. Hong Kong's ban takes effect from midnight on Dec 21, while India's ban will begin on Dec 23. Canada and several countries in the Middle East and Latin America are on a growing list of those stopping UK flights.
