Daniel Whiteson shares his favourite fact about the Universe

Had the wonderful opportunity to talk with Daniel Whiteson, whose books and podcast I’ve been immensely enjoying. Together with Jorge Cham he’s come up with two popular science books, “We have no idea” and “Frequently asked questions about the Universe”. He has a podcast “Daniel and Kelly’s Extraordinary Universe”. Here are some excerpts from that discussion, some of my favourite things that Daniel has said.
Daniel Whiteson is a Professor of Physics and Astronomy at the University of California, Irvine, and a fellow of the American Physical Society. He earned his PhD in physics from the University of California at Berkeley and is an active researcher, using the Large Hadron Collider at CERN to search for exotic new particles.
