Everyone Laughed When Mountain Man Bought "Cursed" Cabin for $10 — His Dog Found Why It Was So Cheap

Sometimes a man reaches a point where he's got nothing left to lose but his last breath and his loyal dog. Boone Mercer was that kind of man—worn down by life, carrying scars deeper than the ones on his face.

When he bought a rotted cabin in Devil's Timber for ten dollars, the whole town of Bitter Creek laughed at him. They said it was cursed. Men had gone missing there. Animals came out different. But Boone didn't care much about curses anymore. He rode up with his hound Redbone and figured he'd seen worse. That first night, Redbone wouldn't go inside. The dog just circled and growled like something was breathing in there.

Then Boone heard voices in the walls and footsteps on the porch. But what Redbone dug up under the floorboards changed everything. What was buried there that the town wanted to stay hidden?
