Tim Richmond Car Control: Ignores Soft Tire, Finishes Second
Late in the 1986 Winston Invitational at Atlanta, Tim Richmond made contact with Dave Marcis and had a tire go soft. His crew-chief Harry Hyde wanted him to pit. Tim ignored his crew, drove the car completely sideways, and finished second anyway.
