Rose Namajunas Destined For Greatness

Welcome back to Athlete Central. In today's video, we are featuring the one and only Rose Thug Namajunas. A true Champion and one of the slickest fighters who has graced the Octagon.

She has been coined by the name Thug Rose, an American MMA fighter of Lithuanian descent. She is well versed in Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, and Taekwondo. She is the current, two-time champion of the Women’s Strawweight World Championship. From early on she knew she was destined for greatness.

Rose is one of those fighters who always seems to rise to the occasion when it matters most. Her first fight against Jonna Jedrzejczyk she was a heavy underdog and the MMA community did not think she stood a chance. She shocked us all with a quick finish via punches in the first round and had won the strawweight championship. In her next fight, she fought Joanna again and retained the belt via unanimous decision. She, unfortunately, lost the belt to Jessica Andrade when she was bodyslammed to the ground and got ko'ed. In her very next fight, she got her revenge on Andrade but it was not for the title. In her most recent match again Zhang Weili at UFC 261 she shocked the fight world once again with a perfectly timed kick to Zhang's chin. A very emotional Thug Rose had once again regained the title.
