Stephanie Mills ~ What Cha Gonna Do With My Lovin' 1979 Disco Purrfection Version

At the age of 15, Stephanie played the part of Dorothy in "The Wiz", a black re-imagining of the Judy Garland classic "The Wizard Of Oz" on Broadway. After that triumph, she recorded for Dunhill, Motown, 20th Century and Casablanca before signing to MCA in 1986. While she had some success on 20th Century with "Put Your Body In It" She got her first #1 R&B hit with "I Have Learned To Respect The Power Of Love", a song relegated to the B side of "Stand Back", but took over after DJ's flipped the song starting her dazzling run of R&B hits in the 80's. In 1979, she released the ballad "Whatcha Gonna Do With My Lovin'" from the album of the same name and gained a #22 pop hit with it. The song reached #8 on the R&B survey.
