20120831 1200 304 24hrs

24 hours on the Sun starting at 2012/08/31 1200 GMT in 304 Å ultraviolet light, the wavelength of doubly ionized helium. The exciting part starts about 24 seconds in, when a coronal mass ejection (CME) erupts. This is the first of 3 EUV channels for a color video project I am working on, which will be posted here when complete. It will be a while. ;)
