From 4 to 18 July 2012 during the waning days of the last Solar maximum, Active Region 1520 marched across the Sun popping off X-Class flares. While none of these can be seen at visible wavelengths against the brilliant light of the Sun, the intense sunspots that caused them certainly can. There are a few gaps at the start and a 5 hour gap in data from 2012/07/10 1424 to 1924 at about 17 seconds in. Images are cropped at 720x405 from 2048x2048 full disc images.
