BLINDSPOTTING's Jasmine Cephas Jones & Essie Justice Group on breaking isolation & empowering women

When we looked at doing a series based on our 2018 film, we knew we couldn’t conceivably do a show that touches on some of the effects of the prison system without centering women.

Essie Justice Group is a nonprofit organization of women with incarcerated loved ones taking on the rampant injustices created by mass incarceration.

Thank you to Ms. Monique, Bianca and Essie Justice Group for taking the time to sit down and help us learn more about the experiences and isolation millions of women face everyday in our county.
