In the time it takes to watch a single episode of Blindspotting approximately 20 people are arrested on non-violent cannabis charges. Thousands continue to be locked up, some even serving life sentences while the legal weed industry continues to profit in the billions.

Blindspotting writer and star Benjamin Earl Turner sat down with Stephanie Shepard to learn more about her experience serving 9 years for a first time, non-violent cannabis related charge and the work she is now doing to help other cannabis prisoners.
