Really any industry... But you CAN be successful in the music industry without fame. Record deals aren’t inherently bad. But when the only goal of a band or artist is to get signed and and everything is pointing to that moment... nothing beyond it. Thats when your going to miss what is so amazing about jobs in this field.

How many names warehouse and distribution managers can you think of. BESIDES Jeff Bezos... (over simplified job description) The music industry, just like any other industry, can have successful individuals who are not known outside their own four walls.
If you want to be successfulm, fame could be a part of that equation but the two are not required to go together.
