Aladdin Photoshoot Behind the Scenes with Gareth Dix (GoPro Timelapse)

Every year Saint Monica's Players (SMP) put on one of the best Pantomimes in London. Every year I get asked by the team to do a publicity photo and every year I jump at the chance. This year they're putting on a production of Aladdin which posed an interesting challenge: How do we make it look like they're in an Arabian Desert/cave and how do we make a Genie come out of a lamp?

The final photo was a composite of 5 photos, 3 taken on the day and 2 from some of my travels to the desert in Dubai.

This Timelapse shows what goes on behind the scenes at the photoshoot from start to finish along with the finished photo (and a few other gems). You'll see lighting setups I use to create the final image along with all the camera gear I use on a shoot.
