The Significance of Superheroes in Culture, A Video Essay

Beyond entertainment, what significance do superheroes have in our culture, and are they re-tellings of mythical heroes of old? If so, is there a pattern of importance they've played in society? How are our heroes a reflection of ourselves? In this video essay, I begin that examination.
