Being Poor at USCIS?

Is immigration harder for poor people? It is definitely harder to get an immigration benefit if you are poorer. Filing fees usually start around $500 and only go up from there.
In the last few years we have definitely seen a trend of USCIS making poorer people's life more difficult at immigration. In the video we talk about some of the ways being poor makes proving your case more difficult. USCIS should treat everyone fairly and the same, but sadly that isn't always the case.
USCIS offers a fee waiver, but it is a double-edged sword because USCIS can use it as evidence that you will become a public charge and not grant your benefits. It is a difficult situation and one that will require a lot of change to mend.
