Girls of Autumn • Thrifted Lookbook

Welcome to the second episode in my Fashion film series, "Girls of Autumn"! This is a seasonal series I've created where I imagine and tell the stories of five fictional characters based on their unique thrifted style. The idea is to create an interesting narrative but also show how creative and fun thrifted outfits and sustainable fashion in general can be!

What’s the story? it’s the question i ask myself when I get dressed in the morning. I look at fashion as a way to live out some imaginary life. fictional characters which are inspired by a place, a time, an attitude; Old faded photographs or someone on the train. Who is that girl? what are her obstacles and dreams? Today you’re getting an outfit video, yes, but also a sort of character study and glance inside my mind. These are the five girls I’ve imagined, the girls of Autumn and their lives....
I always get asked how I found confidence to wear what I do/ confidence in my personal style. I think by trying out many different aesthetics and making a fun game of putting together an outfit, you are able to slip in and out of styles--from grunge to artsy to retro or even more chill looks with out feeling like it defines you. That's also what's so sweet about thrifting/vintage--you can buy cute things that have a story and for cheap! When I lived in the states, my favorite thrift shop was goodwill, but now in Paris, it's Emmaus and guerrisol. I had so much fun doing this so stay tuned for girls of winter!

Here is the outfit details and where I thrifted them:
outfit 1: Dress is Vintage from Parisian shop MadVintage. the belt I made myself from a hardware store. The jacket is my mom's from the 90s
Outfit 2: The top is thrifted online (etsy) jeans are from guerrisol.
Outfit 3: The combination is thrifted from Emmaus, the jacket from Madvintage in Paris.
Outfit 4: Overalls thrifted from guerrisol place de Clichy. jacket is Alex's and the top is gifted. from Lisa says gah (only thing not thrifted really in this lookbook;)
Outfit 5: Everything from the lawyer look was thrifted from guerrisol. The second outfit (thrasher sweater and jeans) are from Alex's closet.
