How to stop people looking in the van #shorts

This is why and how I installed a curtain in my van build. It's a blackout curtain that I hung in the van with an extendable tension rod and it was really cheap! 🚐

Privacy in the van is pretty important so installing a curtain to divide the cab with the back load area was a high priority.

I sourced an extendable tension rod from a department store and found a pair of blackout curtains online, of which I only needed one.

I drilled a hole in either side of the van in which the rod would sit, and primed the bare metal.

Next I needed to trim the headliner back with a sharp knife and then I covered the edge with some rubber u-channel, leftover from carpeting the van doors.

I then inserted a quick fit rubber grommet into each hole I had drilled to secure the rod, put one end of the rod in place, fed the blackout curtain on and extended the pole until it sat firmly in the opposite hole!
