The Mass Transit Buses of Los Angeles - 2016

This year's bus video brings much more variety of the many transit agencies that provide service to LA County's 88 cities than last year's, with a point of also featuring anything new that has shown up since last year.

1:40 - Bus 1303 from Santa Monica's Big Blue Bus, a 2013 CNG 40 ft. Gillig Low Floor BRT. Seen here on Line 16 heading Northbound to Wilshire/Bundy in West LA. Line 16 was implemented on February 22nd of this year. Recorded March 16th, 2016.
4:00 - Bus 7573 from Metro's Division 18 yard, a 2005 CNG NABI 40-LFW. Seen here on Line 215 heading Northbound to Manchester/Market in Inglewood where it turns into Line 211 and continues South to the South Bay Galleria. Recorded December 18th, 2015.
5:41 - Bus 2922 from Long Beach Transit, a 2009 New Flyer GE40LFA. Seen here on Line 92 heading Westbound to Downtown Long Beach. Recorded March 22nd, 2016.
7:16 - Bus 325 from Torrance Transit, a 2011 New Flyer C40LFR. Seen here on Line 8 heading Northbound to the LAX City Bus Center in Westchester. This is an older clip that didn't make it into last year's video; recorded April 1st, 2015.
8:41 - Bus 7098 from Culver City Bus, a 2004 New Flyer C40LF. Seen here on Line 4 on its turnaround loop in Playa Vista. Line 4 was extended to Playa Vista from its previous terminus, the Culver City Transit Center. Recorded December 15th, 2015, Line 4's second day serving Playa Vista.
10:09 - Bus 8375 from Metro's Division 9 yard, a 2009 CNG NABI C45-LFW. Seen here on Line 910 (regular Silver Line) heading Northbound to El Monte Station. The Silver Line was extended to San Pedro from its previous terminus, the Harbor Gateway Transit Center, along the route of former Line 450 on December 13th, 2015. Line 950X was also introduced, also known as the Silver Line Express, and makes limited stops along the Harbor Transitway just like Line 450 used to. Recorded March 31st, 2016.
11:30 - Bus 3871 from Santa Monica's Big Blue Bus, a 2011 CNG NABI 40-LFW. Seen here on Line 14 heading Southbound to Playa Vista. Line 14 was extended to Playa Vista from its previous terminus of Centinela/Culver in Del Rey on August 23rd, 2015. Recorded November 11th, 2015.
14:01 - Bus 488 from Torrance Transit, a 2002 diesel 40 ft. Gillig Advantage. Seen here on Line 8 heading Southbound to Torrance. Recorded March 31st, 2016.
15:30 - Bus 1603 from Santa Monica's Big Blue Bus, a 2016 CNG 29 ft. Gillig Low Floor BRT. Seen here on Line 18, on the very first day of service on Line 18, heading Northbound and Eastbound to Brentwood. Recorded February 21st, 2016.
17:32 - Bus 5521 from Metro's Division 5 yard, a 2001 New Flyer C40LF. Seen here on a Line 108 short line heading Westbound to the Culver City Transit Center. This is another older clip, recorded April 3rd, 2015. Not long after this was recorded all of Division 5's C40LFs were replaced with 3800 series New Flyer XN40s.
18:59 - Bus 1561 from Santa Monica's Big Blue Bus, a 2015 New Flyer XN60 during its very first week in service. Seen here on the Rapid 3's turnaround loop in Downtown Santa Monica. Recorded October 4th, 2015.
21:34 - Bus 9246 from Metro's Division 15 yard, a 2005 CNG NABI 60-BRT. Seen here on Line 734 heading Southbound to UCLA in Westwood. Recorded November 11th, 2015.
22:42 - Bus 8516 from Metro's Division 7 yard, a 2012 NABI CNG C45-LFW. Seen here on Line 30 heading Eastbound to Little Tokyo/Arts District Station in Downtown LA. Recorded January 17th, 2016.
