Israel ‘forced’ to do ‘ugly and bitterly unfair’ deal with Hamas to release hostages

Sky News host Chris Kenny has labelled Israel’s hostage deal with Hamas as “ugly and bitterly unfair”.

Mr Kenny’s remarks come after the Israeli government on Saturday night confirmed 13 Israelis and four foreign nationals were among the second batch of hostages to be released by the terror group.

Israel’s deal with Hamas includes releasing 150 Palestinians – women and children – from Israeli jails over the four-day truce.

“These are not comparable groups; this is not a fair swap,” Mr Kenny said.

“This is an ugly and bitterly unfair deal that Israel has been forced to do because it values the lives of its people above all else.”

Mr Kenny said Hamas should release every hostage it has immediately, which the world should also be calling for.
