Brooklyn & Kamri Get Tested for Coronavirus, Lake House, and Spider Pranks

In this week’s #BehindTheBraids, our entire family heads to the lake! You’ll also see spider pranks, and Brooklyn & Kamri get tested for COVID-19 antibodies??

Back in late January, early February, Brooklyn and Kamri were EXTREMELY sick with flu-like symptoms. They were both tested negative for the flu at the time, twice, so as time went on, we became curious if they might have had COVID-19 and just recovered on their own! Almost everyone in our family was sick around this time, but specifically Brooklyn and Kamri had extremely high fevers, coughs, and low energy lasting more than a week. We decided to get them tested for the covid antibodies, just out of pure curiosity if they had it in the past (since all of the other tests came out negative at the time), and if they were positive, they wanted to donate blood. They ended up both testing negative for the antibodies, so they must have just had some NASTY strain of the flu! 😷

We also took the entire family to the lake over the 4th of July weekend! We typically have huge get-togethers at our house, but with all of the current social distancing requirements, we decided to basically just take the family to quarantine somewhere nice but with a change of scenery! We honestly had the best time, relaxing, playing card games, boating, and a front row seat to some INCREDIBLE fireworks!
