Learning the Violin: Playing Notes With Your Left Hand

Today we continue our music journey in All For Strings Book 1, page 9.
By the end of this video you will be able to play on the D string with your first 2 fingers to produce the notes D, E, and F#.
When you are confident playing these notes and the exercises on page 9, we will turn in the next video to play 4 new songs on page 10 - including one you already know how to sing!

AFS Timestamps for playing along:
04:12 #21 "Up To E"
07:07 #25 "Up To F#"

I recommend playing the rest of the exercises on this page. Try playing the notes with the Rosin Bow pattern, or make up your own bow pattern for fun! Also, do the finger pushups for your first and second fingers 10x a day to continue strengthening your hand for future playing - it will really help.

If you have any questions, ask in the comments. My students can also reach me in the Google classroom.
