Classic American Donuts Recipe for about 15 servings

Ingredients for Donuts:

180ml (6.1 fl oz) 3.2% milk
20g (0.7 oz) fresh yeast
10g + 40g (0.35 oz + 1.41 oz) sugar
2 egg yolk
350g (12.3 oz) bread flour (type 550 or 812)
5g (1 tsp) salt
45g (1.6 oz) butter

Ingredients for Sugar Icing:

40ml (1.35 fl oz) hot milk (~ 70°C / 158.00°F)
225g (7.9 oz) powdered sugar
10ml (2 tsp) lemon juice
*food coloring

Nuances

* Butter and egg yolks should be at room temperature
* Milk with a fat content of 3.2% or higher
* Bread flour (flour with index 550 or 812) for yeast dough
* The dough in the food processor is kneaded for about 15 minutes, and with the handles for more than half an hour. The consistency of the finished dough must be elastic
* Cover the dough and cutted pieces with a damp towel or food wrapping film
* Fry in a large amount of preheated oil
* Put the finished donuts on a napkin so that it absorbs excess oil
