Lego train with two motors 88002 controlled by a Mindstorms EV3, by Sioux.NET on Track
The train that was powered by an EV3 motor, didn't have enough traction to run smoothly. Therefore, I tried a completely other idea.
The version on the video is driven by two Lego Power Functions Train Motors (88002) and a rechargeable battery pack 8878. The battery pack power control dial is connected to an EV3 medium motor. By this means, the EV3 is able to control the speed. The traction is now much better and the train runs really smooth.
