What happens when you give a network automation team free rein to build something completely different?

You get a Vision Agent – the Itential team's hackathon submission in the Cool Agents category of MCP & AI Hackathon 2026.

Vision Agent is a multi-step AI agent that:
✓ Detects your camera and captures a photo
✓ Transforms it into a custom art style (Japanese woodblock, and more)
✓ Animates the result into an 8-second video with audio using Veo3
✓ Supports natural language prompts for image and video generation
✓ Includes an American Sign Language conversation mode via live camera

John Capobianco walks through the pipeline – from live camera capture to a time-lapse sunrise video generated from a woodblock print of a real photo. The agent handles the image-to-augmented-image transformation and the video generation end to end.

The Vision Agent was created as part of the AI Hackathon – where teams of developers, tinkerers, and open source enthusiasts build MCP servers and AI agents to show the potential of open source technologies.
