Is HARBOR FREIGHTS 6 INCH DUAL ACTION POLISHER GARBAGE? *bauer random orbit*
The budget friendly Bauer 6 inch dual action random orbit polisher from Harbor Freight comes in at $110. Made in China like some of the other higher end polishers on the market, the harbor freight 6 inch dual action polisher seems to work well and have good ergonomics. It has a 20 mm through due to the random orbit of the pad which is created from the backing plate spinning on a spindle and being attached to a counter weight system. This 6 inch dual action polisher by Bauer comes with a convenient speed control dial, a trigger lock, and the ability to service it and replace the brushes, backing pad and inside components that make it run. I think it would only be right if I got another 6 inch dual action random polisher from companies like Griots, Adams Polishes, Chemical Guys, Rupes, and put them head to head against the Harbor Freight polisher to see how they compare to each other. I would recommend the Harbor Freight dual action polisher as a beginning auto detailing tool for the hobbyist or the person to looking to start a auto detailing business and keep costs low in the beginning. The dual action random orbit polishers are a little more forgiving than the traditional rotary buffers/polishers.
