The pair of jeans I used is very lightweight and super soft. Hard and thick denim is not a good choice for making scrunchies.

I cut a small piece of fabric in the size of 45 cm x 14 cm. And I also add a white ribbon edge to the scrunchie so it won't look bored . The ribbon is 14 long and 5 cm wide. Besides, you'll need elastic of about 21 cm. That's all you need for making a scrunchie.
