TV radioactive contamination2

Repeating the test for radioactive dust in the house. The middle and right samples are from a small CRT TV (that as you can see has not been cleaned a while), the left one is from a different TV in a different room.

As you can see, the dust wiped I off is notably above background level and in the later part of the vid you can see the sharp drop of activity...

While I haven't done spectroscopic analysis (maybe some other time), I'm quite sure that these are products of Radon 222 decay (judging from the sharp activity drop, since all of radon decay chain have a short half-life).

None of the geigers are calibrated (last time was over 10 years ago and sadly the state nuclear agency does not allow to sell them with the original checksource), the IT-65 is showing complete BS since the front shield is removed do that it can detect anything at all, the sound indication is a more safe way to tell how much were getting... (check my video on measuring a thorium mantle to have a comparison)

The IT-65 uses a Philips 18504 tube, the RGBT-62 uses a Russian STS-5, both tubes are from the early 60s...
