black-headed monitors mating at Sydney Wildlife World
The pair of black-headed monitors, Varanus tristis, at Sydney Wildlife World were just starting to mate again. As it was a bit early in the female's cycle, she wasn't as receptive to the male's advances as she would have been a day or two later. At around 3:20 in the video the pair got so carried away that they rolled off the ledge and into the top of the waterfall.
