Some of us grew up hearing phrases like these and others grew up rejecting them 🙅🏻‍♂️ In this week’s episode of Code Switch, we challenged young Singaporeans to explain what Toxic Masculinity is and why these phrases may be extremely hurtful— but in their mother tongue.

About Code Switch: Young Singaporeans seem to be losing touch with their mother tongue. So we're challenging them to explain a trendy topic to seniors under 5 minutes. The catch is, they can only speak in their mother tongue. For every English word spoken, $2 will be deducted from the prize money of $50.
