travel diary for august 7, 2023

I explored the world on August 7, 2023 and put my kimchi on the floor.

I think I would like to discuss about what happened on this day. one of our favorite restaurants moved to a new location. anyway, you can order online now. so that's what I did. I really wanted bibimbap, so that's what I ordered, and I really wanted kimchi, too. the storm that came through that day apparently was causing problems with the online ordering system. I was checking my order when we were driving there, and I never got an update saying it was ready. so eventually we just went inside to see if it was ready, and they actually didn't receive the order.

I think they also misunderstood the situation too. because we placed the order to pick up, like we needed it in to-go packaging. so that's what we expected. but after they said that would get the food ready, we waited for the food, and they brought it out on a tray. I think they forgot that it was a to-go order but I think it's ok. the food was still really amazingly good. I decided to eat a few bites of it in the restaurant but we did have to leave quickly because we were picking up sam's food at another restaurant. the funny thing is, although I got a lid for my bibimbap, I couldn't do anything about the kimchi, so I just carried it out in the cardboard bowl that it came in.
