The German power producer STEAG GmbH entered the geothermal market in Indonesia. Daniel Mölk, the country manager provided at the webinar series Focus on Geothermal an insight in the Baturraden Power Plant Project. Steag is developing a large scale geothermal project in development in Central Java on the active volcano Mount Slamet. Daniel Mölk addresses specific challenges and opportunities for geothermal development in Indonesia and gives guidance for geothermal development in the country with the world’s largest geothermal potential.
