Reverse Engineering Gopher NPS1601 Front Panel Circuit | Voltlog #305

$2 for 5 PCBs Any Color https://jlcpcb.com In this video I will show you the method I used to reverse engineer the pcb circuit from the Gophert NPS+1601 power supply. In the review video (Voltlog #255) I called this the best power supply you can get in this price range and that still holds but wouldn’t it be nice if it had a color tft screen that could show more info on the front panel?

Reverse engineering can be a useful skill to have as an engineer or even hobbyist because it can help you understand circuits where you don’t get a schematic. This way you can repair them if they’re faulty or you can hack them like I plan to do with this power supply. Join me in this video to learn the methods I used to reverse engineer this circuit, turn it into a full Kicad schematic and figure out the signal range for the inputs and outputs of the front panel circuit.
