This is part of my prep for my next Ironman event.
This will help me to gain the necessary confidence, and also take my swimming ablities to the next level. This swimming challenge will also make me the first South African paraplegic to complete this long endurance swim.

The Robben Island swim is a 7500m swim in the freezing cold waters of Cape Town, from Robben Island to Bloubergstrand.

Here are my thoughts before attempting this event, and why I would even attempt this in the first place.

I will be doing the swim with Stellenbosch Triathlon Squad and Big Bay Lifesaving club.
