Vero Beach Air Show draws thousands, boosts local economy

The roar of jets over Vero Beach didn’t just draw crowds to the sky this weekend — it also brought a major boost to local businesses.

The Vero Beach Air Show, considered one of the largest events in Indian River County, attracted tens of thousands of people to the Treasure Coast, generating millions in economic impact.

While the action was centered at the airport, the ripple effect was felt throughout the city — especially in downtown Vero Beach.

Restaurants, bars and shops saw a noticeable increase in customers as visitors headed into town once the planes landed.
