'No evidence' for 'natural emergence' makes COVID-19 lab leak theory 'more likely'

The Australian's Adam Creighton says we keep talking about the Wuhan lab leak theory when we really should be talking about the "natural emergence" theory – of which there's "no evidence".

"We keep talking about the lab-leak theory but we really should be talking about the "natural emergence" theory," he told Sky News host Alan Jones.

"Because that is the less likely if you like – there's actually no evidence so far for natural emergence.

"They can't find the animal – I mean they found the animal for previous coronavirus in six to twelve months – but they still haven't found anything 18 months on.

"And they can't find any trace of COVID-19 early strains of it in sick patients – so it's increasingly likely it was a leak."
