228 - The Towpath Incident, The Swing Aqueduct and the Underground Canal

Today's vlog is fairly eventful. We continue along the Bridgewater Canal from Sale to Leigh. Unfortunately we witness a Cyclist collide with a dog. Lucking everyone was ok and the dog was up and wagging its tail within seconds but it was pretty upsetting to watch and it did get us thinking about the Canal & River Trusts Share the Space campaign.

We crossed the Barton Swing Aqueduct which is one of the Seven Wonders of the Waterways and cruised through Worsley where the Duke of Bridgwater's underground mines are located.

Q. Why do you speed up some of the footage in your videos?
A. We don't, we film it as time-lapse footage. We do not have the battery capacity or data storage to film in real time as our cruises can last up to 7 or 8 hours. We use to the time-lapse footage to help tell the story of movement rather than showcase the scenery. We limit the amount of time-lapse shots we use in each vlog.
