2022 Distinguished Alumna: Myra Liza Leo
Myra Liza Leo is a strategist and principal at Husch Blackwell Strategies with more than 25 years of experience in federal, state, and local government. She has advised Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, and businesses engaged in matters related to e-commerce, higher education, health care, information technology, transportation, energy, electricity, telecommunications, public safety, and manufacturing. Leo previously worked in the Public Policy and Law division at K&L Gates as a government affairs advisor for more than 20 years. She started her Capitol career with then Lt. Governor William P. Hobby before becoming chief of staff to former State Rep. Irma Rangel. Leo was recently selected as one of the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce 2022 Women of Distinction. She serves as the immediate past chair of the advisory council to the LILAS Benson Latin American Studies and Collections at UT Austin.
