2022 Distinguished Alumnus: Thomas Dunning

Tom Dunning, chairman emeritus of Lockton Dunning Benefits, is the lead independent director of Oncor, the largest electric utility company in Texas. He is the past chair of the Dallas Citizens Council, DFW International Airport Board, Texas Water Development Board, and served on the boards of the Texas Department of Transportation and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Dunning is the recipient of Dallas’ prestigious Linz Award and was elected to the Dallas Business Hall of Fame. He and his wife, Sally, serve on the Blanton Museum National Leadership Board and have endowed a Forty Acres Scholarship for a student in the Steve Hicks School of Social Work, where Dunning serves on the advisory council.
