INTERSTATE ICE RINK!!! SLIP SLIDING AWAY!!!

Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching!! I hope my viewers are enjoying the new 4K videos!!! An eventful evening after an unexpected winter event. We had a winter system move through and the roads had been cleared, then it started freezing rain, which nobody had forecast!!! The roads quickly turned into a very slick, very dangerous travel hazard for everyone. Yes, I am a bit "on edge" on this job and it does come through in my voice and my tone, but for good reason....a lot of drivers are not slowing down for the road conditions and we are working in a live lane of traffic. Perhaps these drivers are unaware that the roads are a solid sheet of ice. We weren't aware of it until we received this first call. I was concerned for our safety, especially my son's. One of our crew getting struck while working is my greatest fear with this job. It can happen in the blink of an eye and it happens far too often. This seemingly simple job is dangerous enough in daylight on dry pavement. Add night time darkness and ice to the mix and the dangers compound exponentially. PLEASE SLOW DOWN AND MOVE OVER for ANY Emergency lights or vehicles on the side of the road!!!! We ALL want to go home to our families!!! Yes, this was stressful, but successful.
