Legally Blonde stars Amber Davies as Elle Woods, a fashion-obsessed blonde keen to break out of her stereotype, who gets accepted into Harvard Law School for questionable reasons (mainly, LOVE). Davies is, quite simply, extraordinary in the role. There could be a tendency to portray Elle as a naive wannabe who is all hair and no substance. Davies is shaping up to be one of the greatest musical performers of this generation, genuinely funny, instantly likeable, connecting with the audience via winks and smiles. As Elle, she is the perfect role model for teenage girls up and down the country.

Some theatre exists to make you think, some theatre is there to make you squirm, and some is there to make you smile. This is definitely the latter – and I am definitely here for it. This show gets 5* from me - dare I say it might even be the best thing I’ve seen this year? If you’re having a bad day, go and see this – it will make you feel “So Much Better“.
