The Birthplace of Every MLB Player... Ever | Stat Stories

Baseball continues to grow on the global stage. Major League Baseball has seen the likes of Dovydas Neverauskas (Lithuania) and Gift Ngoepe (South Africa) debut in recent years, so I thought it would be fun to see all the different countries and territories that have produced big league talent since the creation of the league.

Keep in mind that this video is based on place of birth and not the nationality of the player.

I also look into the US states that have produced the most Major League players.

Here is the link to Baseball Almanac. Jesus Luzardo is listed as being born in Florida and not Peru, but I received an error when I tried to contact the site about this. Also, some countries aren't listed on this site and are instead found on Baseball Reference.
