Brazil just introduced Digital Nomad Visa! How exciting!

Rio De Janeiro recently announced that thety are putting around 1% of their reserves in Bitcoin, also they are giving 10% tax discount to people who pay their taxes in Bitcoin!

Brazil is a beautiful country, and many people love the idea of spending some time there.

With this digital nomad visa you won't be able to seek for local employment. You are required to have foreign source of income.
This is one year visa, that is renewable for another year afterwards.

In order to qualify you will will need:

-Proof that you have minimum of $1500 usd of income per month OR
-$18 000 usd in a bank account at the time when you apply
-Demonstate your connection with a foreign company with an employment contract
-Clean criminal record
-Medical insurance that will cover your stay in Brazil

This program was opened just a few days ago. They announced that it will take about 4 weeks to process your application.

We're not yet sure how will they handle the tax situation for digital nomads.
