Decoupling capacitors and the 555 timer IC (#004)
We take a look at the importance of adding decoupling capacitors to your circuits and what the effect is if you leave them out. We also measure the current spike of the 555 timer chip as the output transitions from low to high or high to low and we show these spikes on the oscilloscope.
