Hamburg Street Portraits | Canon EOS RP | EF 50mm F1.2 (Part 2)

In Part Two of the Hamburg Street Portrait series, I am the one who has to overcome my fear of photographing strangers. With the help and coaching from my mentor Jannis Dirksen, I hit the streets of Hamburg to put into practice the 6 tips from Part One .

We set out to do 10 street portraits but actually ended up with me photographing 13 sets of street portraits. I couldn't be happier with how the day went. I discovered that the fear immediately disappears once you start talking to someone and as I formed a new habit of approaching strangers, it was somewhat a thrilling experience.

I used the Canon EOS RP and EF 50mm f1.2 lens in this video. I loved the Results.

Jannis took some video clips of me doing some of the street portraits. I've put them together along with the edited still images. Stay tuned to the end of the video where Jannis and I sit down at an outdoor cafe and discuss the day.

I hope that by seeing how I overcame my fear of photographing strangers, you too will have the courage to try the same.
