Her journey at the Grammys started with the Fugees when their album The Score earned them the Best Rap Album Award. The highlight of songs like Ex-Factor, Doo Wop (That Thing), Everything is Everything, and To Zion helped position Lauryn Hill in a unique way thanks to a mixture of Hip Hop and R&B that she would become known for. That unique style contributed to the emergence of Hip Hop music in the mainstream in the late 90s.
